Yeah, I know. I read the...What was it? Assessment.

But unlike certain crazycakes demigods I could name, I've never actually tried to take over a planet I'm not even from.

Somehow I'm not sure he's much of a team player anyway. And there's too much bad blood. It's personal, for all of us. At the same time, I'm not convinced that a common cause or a common enemy couldn't make him a valuable ally, if only for a time. I think we should be careful in picking our fights here.

Hey, that's your thing, not mine. You want to play nice with him, go for it. I'm gonna reserve judgement. I mean, he threw me off my balcony. We're not what you'd call friendly.

He brainwashed and used my partner. He killed my handler and one of the people I owe my life to more times than I can count. He tried to blow up an airship I was on, nearly got me killed by rage incarnate and partially demolished the city I now call home and hundreds of innocents in it. He led an alien army into a world that had never done anything to him, just because he had a bone to pick with his adopted brother.

Friendly is not on the table here.

And all of that is why I have no intention of playing nice, neutral, or otherwise with him now or ever.

Besides, he cornered Pepper when we first got here. He shot his load before he ever got it near me.

There was a mental image I didn't need.

Look, I'm just saying sometimes situations change. Threats change. And the person you were planning on putting a bullet through the day before is suddenly the only one who can save your ass tomorrow. We're at a disadvantage here. I just think we should keep some options open. Even if they are utterly distasteful.

Alright, fine. Besides, that sounds like a job for super spies. We genius engineers are gonna stick to what we know, and get cracking on going home.

Deal. If you do find someone or something for me to shoot, however, let me know. There's not a whole lot of jobs for super spies piling up around here.

You could, I don't know, actually be a spy. You're good at that act.

What do you think I've been doing? But there's only so much I can get out of the people stuck here like we are. And no one's enlightened me about a way through the mirrors yet, which is where the people I probably should be spying on are hiding themselves.

Yeah, I know. But I also hear it's one of those things you can't do by choice. I'm looking into it.
